“THE STRIKEOUT KING”
Written by Jeff Lutz & John Ager
Screwball Comedy. Set in Philadelphia, PA. Spoof of Neil Strauss’ book “The Game” about becoming a pick-up artist.
Logline:
A chronic bachelor – commonly referred to as The Strikeout King – begins working with a dating guru and suddenly becomes a big hit with the ladies. Through a series of meaningless one-night stands culminating in the conquest of a past love lost, he comes to realize the act of hitting a homerun isn’t the same as having someone waiting for him at home.
“The general feeling here was that this was simply very, very funny. With broad comedy it is essential for us to enjoy the story and the ‘hero’ who takes us through it. We could easily imagine our favorite comedian eating this role up. Well done and, frankly, thanks for making us laugh.” -Randy Becker, NexTV Entertainment Writing & Pitch Competition
